This collection contains a stunning 1104 recipes, covering all the major food groups: cheese, casseroles, potatoes, meat, and poultry and game birds. (Who needs vegetables?)
The Culinary Arts Institute in Chicago produced these—the women who edited them had names like Edna and Ethel and Phyllis and Louise. Real women! The pamphlets have excellent mid-century illustrations and surprisingly good (if rawther outdated) recipes.
Bonus: The Potatoes pamphlet comes with recipes that were cut out of an unknown, undated newspaper, including "Hints from Heloise" on her favorite potato preparations.
A perfect housewarming gift if I ever saw one.
